3. ARTICLES
Intro to Ergonomics Month
Ergonomics is the study and design of fitting the task to the worker in order to maximize performance and reduce discomfort. Ergonomics can be divided into three domains: physical, cognitive, and organizational ergonomics.

Ergo Risk Factors Part 1 – Force
The greater the force on the body, the more muscular effort required, leads to increased stress on the joints, followed by greater compression within the spine. The strenuous effects of a large external load, burdening the body continues to compound with the internal forces of the active and passive tissues of the body.
Ergo Risk Factors Part 2 – Posture
Have you ever looked in the mirror and been surprised by the decline of your posture over time? We can take a collective sigh, admitting we’ve all been there. Posture effects everyone in different ways. Yet, in the workplace it takes on new meaning with a profound impact.
